Template Loop Detected

Template Loop Detected - Hello i am trying to add a navbox into the bottom of my wiki pages, but it keeps showing template loop detected. The following in main page, { {navbox qm}} but both pages show the same template loop detected error. After the according number of levels, it aborts execution. I tried to create a navigation template for the maison ikkoku wiki but have trouble resolving something, can someone please fix it or tell me what i must do: The template is referencing itself. Template loops happen when two templates are transcluding each other, for example. When i had uploaded them and clicked on their links they gave me the following error:

Infobox:pays), first line in red and second in blue. From reading the docs, manual:$wgmaxtemplatedepth seems to be able to do what you want: ( this comment in this thread details more on how that works.) you've basically put the syntax for using the template on the template's page and don't have any code to actually use the template. The template is referencing itself. Of course it's not going to work, since character infobox wouldn't have a real source to begin with, and you're using the template inside the template, therefore resulting in a template loop error. I have the following in the template page.

You're calling template:character infobox inside template:character infobox itself. Infobox:pays (which translates to looping template detected: The problem is that you are calling the template on the page for the template itself. Actually, are you sure that is/should be a template binary sensor and not a template sensor? From reading the docs, manual:$wgmaxtemplatedepth seems to be able to do what you want:

The problem is that you are calling the template on the page for the template itself. When a template includes itself, this in fact is an infinite loop. How do i fix it? I looked up this error and apparently it has something to do with a template referring to itself in its code.

Hello I Am Trying To Add A Navbox Into The Bottom Of My Wiki Pages, But It Keeps Showing Template Loop Detected.

Template loops happen when two templates are transcluding each other, for example. After the according number of levels, it aborts execution. Template:foo contains {{bar}} while template:bar contains {{foo}} this can happen also through intermediate templates, e.g. Of course it's not going to work, since character infobox wouldn't have a real source to begin with, and you're using the template inside the template, therefore resulting in a template loop error.

You Need To Create The Code For The Infobox On The Template, And Then Call It On The Article Where The Infobox Is Needed.

I have a template that calls itself on purpose, creating a recursive loop that stops when no successor is defined for a page.
