Blum Hinge Template - My problem is that i need the doors to be recessed by 1/4″. I use it in the shop and on site constantly. The machine was a gannomat red barron that the salice hinge supplier was offering at about $380 (carbide bits included). This new blum hinge can accomodate this look. I am making a pair of nightstands with double doors that are inset. I have a somewhat unique blum hinge question i was hoping i could find the answer to (i have limited experience using euro hinges). There are quite a few different hinge brands and they aren't all the same, particularly the ones with rounded corners. I use it in the shop and on site constantly. You need to drill the 35mm hole at a specific distance from the edge for a given amount of overlay. This new blum hinge can accomodate this look.
Then You Carry The Assembled Template Over To The Jamb, And With The Proper Setback From The Top Route The Hinge Gains In The Jamb.

I found a deal on a new hinge boring machine from my local hinge supplier that was simply too good to pass up. In the blum catalog, the distance from the edge of the cup hole to the edge of the door is specified. Sometimes you have to match the bit to the radius on the hinge. Their drawing is correct but photo is wrong.
