Less is more

Choose simplicity to emphasize the unique beauty of summer flowers. Carefully pick some flowers from the flower presentation and place them in separate vases. Your arrangement will have even more power if you choose a theme beforehand, such as ‘multiple flowers on a stem, ‘flowers shaped like bells’ or a colour scheme.

Fun fact!

The spots on the flowers of the digitalis (foxgloves) are actually indicators. These so-called honey marks point insects to the nectar. Source: ‘Niet zonder elkaar’, an accessible book about the relationship between flowers and insects; a must-read if you want to know more about flowers in nature.
