Onyx advent calendar thoughts i really feel like scrooge posting this on christmas, but i'm just sitting here with my thoughts and thought someone might appreciate them and/or feel less crazy that they weren't impressed on the $175+ they spent for 48 oz of coffee. I’ve got a lot of xmas coffee — have several really good looking geshas offered by separate roasters — but only did one actual advent calendar, the one from coffee collective. In terms of $/oz, it's a terrible value. I've created my own spreadsheet with grades for each coffee. My favorite of these 4 was day 15:

I was gifted the onyx advent calendar last year and enjoyed it. It'll be interesting to hear your thoughts about this advent calendar! Most likely won't do it (or any other) again this year because (1) 50g is a little too cute of an amount for me and (2) the unit cost is just too hard to justify. $175 for 25 2oz bags comes out to $3.50/oz of coffee.
